Event Description:
Moorreesburg Funduro
The circuit is short at 36km but you can ride the track as many times as you like. There are lots of stone sections together with uphill & downhill sections. If there is rain beforehand the wheat fields may become mud fields and dongas! There are some technical sections that will be challenging. There are no river crossings and little sand.
There is also a kiddies track and is always within sight of the start. This is the same route as last year.
Coffee and snacks will be available to purchase.
How To Enter
Please prepay. Download the entry form here. Refreshments at the half way point (the start) are included in the price.
Directions
From Moorreesburg follow the N7 towards Piketberg.
After 7.1km you will find the Swartberg / Withoogte sighn on your left.
Turn left onto the tarred road for 2.8 km.
The tarred road changes to a dirt road. Progress for 1.6km.
Take a right turn – then drive 0.8km.
Proceed to the hall and old rugby field.
Event Host
Hoërskool Dirkie Uys which is 141 years old! This is an excellent school with old-fashioned values of respect, caring and responsibility. The school is located in the heart of the Swartland. Approximately 100 km from Cape Town. The school has about 330 students with excellent academic and sports results.

As short as it may seem, the Moorreesburg Funduro is a great little circuit. There are some interesting climbs and descents, some of which can be challenging. It’s a great technical loop, so make sure you complete at least 3 circuits to improve your skills!
