Event Description:
Come along to the Willowmore Funduro, aka the Willowmore Bush Bike Bash for a weekend of riding fun!
This weekend event is open to any off road bikes and adventure bikes. The farm is over 7000 hectare with a little mud, a few kopies , a small forest section and awesome dry river beds . A tree shaded, green grassed, temporary Bush Camp area will cater for overnight camping or caravans, with limited catering, Bush bar ( in case you run out of your own stock ) and toilet and hot showers . This unique piece of the little Karoo is simply magical and showcases all the extremes in vegetation and topography. There are two choices of loop, The XTreme loop is around 35 Km. with sections that are fairly technical and only for experienced riders. The “B“ loop is around 25 Km, and although challenging, is rideable by less experienced riders and Adventure bikers.
Gates open 6 am. Saturday 26th November. Event starts officially at 10 am. But late entries can ride a second loop starting at 12 noon.
The Camp site is only 5 km. from Willowmore, so bring the wife or girlfriend and they can explore the town while the boys play in the dirt!
Saturday night is chop and dop, either at your camp site or at the Boma party. A Bush Breakfast is available on Sunday morning at R15. The campsite is free !
SUNDAY’S program is options of a Hill climb up Kudu Kopie, or Reverse loops, it’s up to you.
What to Bring – Your Bike, family , a few mates, Braai and dop cooler box , tent or caravan , camp chairs and a good attitude for a fun weekend.
Note – This is a FUNDURO with no prizes for winners, so just enjoy the ride. This is a Funduro event so no competition licence is required. No helmet no Ride
How To Enter
Please contact Bobby Hack 082-667 0427 to ensure your ride and camp site. (Late entry will cost an additional R50. Cost – R200 per rider (under 16’s R 100). No charge for spectators , support teams etc. On arrival please check into the “office” for registration and paper work.
The event takes place at Laughing Waters Farm, Willowmore (Eastern Cape).
Turn off the N9 opposite Willowmore Town turn off. The Farm road is directly across from the town entrance road (well signposted). Proceed on good dirt road about 1 km, to Laughing Waters farm , follow signs to bush camp and pits.
